Why I created this Blog/Site

I BELIEVE THAT THE UNIVERSE (some call it God) guides us, if we only listen: I have quietly worked alone for long hours for many years behind a PC, or edit suite, churning out material with the underlining messages, Save Our Oceans and Save Our Sharks.

On my mission I have worn many hats: writer, photographer, creative director, teacher, public speaker, filmmaker, presenter, editor, activist, fundraiser, a founder of a non profit organisation, and a dreamer filled with hope for the survival of Earth's precious resources.

My passion to reach as many people as possible with my conservation messages has labeled me many things including crazy and 'The Shark Warrior' - a nickname that has stuck, and which befits the fighter I've become for my chosen cause. One day while searching for new ways to reach the world, I kept hearing people say: “You need to become a shark ambassador to have greater reach”, “You are the voice for those that can’t speak”. And in support of this: “Why don’t you, of all people, have a blog?” and, “You should have a blog!”

So finally in-between writing books, making films, designing campaigns, lobbying against shark slaughter, tagging and tracking sharks, and, and, I listened and this site was born! (OK, it did take two years to launch it from the day I wrote my first word!)

Though I don’t have the time to write often, I hope that what I share with you will inspire and motivate you to find, and release, the eco-warrior within you, or join me by becoming a Shark Warrior – our beautiful planet and our sharks need an army to win the battle against humanity's prevailing ignorance, greed and destructive ways.
