My film, Sharks in Deep Trouble, as well as our Rethink the Shark ad, are finalists in the San Francisco Ocean Film Festival. In November last year Sharks in Deep Trouble won a conservation message award at the Montana Cine International Film Festival, while Rethink the Shark won a prestigious Panda Award. I’m invited to sit on the discussion panel of the SOSFF and so have arrived in the USA. Dr Leonard Compagno, an AOCA board member, Save Our Seas Shark Centre director of research, and good friend, is travelling with me. First a stop in the big apple to shop at B&H Photo Video for some underwater photography equipment, how could I resist! And a visit to what must rate as the world’s best museum, the Natural History Museum in New York, (spent too much time at the museum and missed our plane to SF!), and then off to the festival.
